Saarlouis, 23rd April 2013. On the 24th April 2013, the spring GmbH & Co. KG is represented on the FIT 2013 – the Company Information Day – at the University of the Saarland and presents itself as potential employer. From 10 am till 4 pm graduates and students are invited to our booth on the ground floor of the foyer in the computer science building and to learn more about spring and a possible professional collaboration in the future.
The FIT aims to establish early contact between students and companies with a need for graduates in computer science and information technology. Against this background, the “Freundeskreis der Fachschaft Informatik e.V.” (Association of Friends of the Student Council of Computer Science) in cooperation with the Student Council of Computer Science and the subject area Computer Science is organising this event at the University of the Saarland for the 17th time now.
Kantar Media wins the coveted award for Best Research Innovation

22nd November 2012 – In the course of MRG International Conference in Monte Carlo on 16th November 2012, Kantar Media has been presented with the award for the Best Research Innovation 2012 – the development and roll-out of VirtualMeter™.
The VirtualMeter™ is a software which is installed on the PCs of Audience Measurement Panel members, measuring the broadcast audiences across different media.
The development of the software is a joint project of Kantar Media Audiences and Kantar Media spring.

About the MRG
The Media Research Group (MRG) is a non-profit making organisation which aims to promote an understanding of the techniques and uses of media research.
It has been in existence since 1964 and is run by an elected committee whose job it is to organise the smooth running of group events such as evening meetings on the latest hot topics in media and media measurement, excellent education courses for those that are new to media research, an annual conference and various social events.
It currently has between 500-600 members per year from a variety of organisations, including media owners, JICs, media planning agencies, market research agencies, media analysts, commentators, consultants and specialists in research data collection and analysis.
spring measurement goes live in Finland and the Baltic countries

1st July 2012 - We are happy to announce that with the beginning of July our measurement system has now gone live in Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia supporting our partners TNS Gallup and TNS Emor in their efforts to provide internet audience measurement in those countries.
With more than 400 new sites, with the biggest media sites in those countries among them, this adds significantly to our foot print in Northern Europe where spring is already providing the currency for the Norwegian market together with our Partners TNS and SIFO.

Study includes traffic from mobile devices and online streaming figures
17th April 2012 – spring and TNS have been awarded the National Internet Measurement contract in
Belgium by the Centre for Information on the Media (CIM). The agreement will be effective from November 1st, 2012.
Under the terms of the deal, spring produces the National Internet Traffic Study of the whole Internet universe, as well as monthly reach data and daily audience estimates based on the online activity of a panel of 10,000 Internet users in Belgium. In addition to measuring web pages and applications such as video and audiostreams, the enhanced service showcases a significant investment in new methodology by spring, as it includes traffic from mobile devices.
